Matie leaves behind husband John Such of one year, Children: James Vernon Sayles, James Thomas Sayles, Louise Sayles, Norvel L.V. Forrest, Quinnan Harold Forrest, Margaret Catherine Forrest, George William Forrest, and Fay Etta Forrest. Four step children: William Buford Forrest, James Birdie Forrest, Annie Virginia Forrest and J.P. Forrest.
