I found in 1910 on the census records his name is James E Sayles. In 1920 his name is Edmond Sayles. James is buried in Hardin Cemetery, very old and not kept up. He only has a funeral marker for a head stone.

Obituary states as follows:

Benton Native Dies in Somerville, Tenn.
James Edmond Sayles, 61 passed away Saturday morning. June 2 in Somerville. He was a former resident of Benton County. His parents were John W. and Katherine Mae Adair Sayles. Services conducted by Mrs Berthal Crossno were held Monday morning at Stockdale Malin Funeral Home. Interment was in Hardin Cemetery. Survived by his wife. Mrs Fannie M Sayles. Five daughters, Mrs Clyde Mertz, Miss Carolyn Sayles, Mrs James Mertz, Somerville, Mrs James Griffin, Memphis. Mrs Gino Bonamigo, Beedeville, Ark. Five sons , James Vernon Sayles, Chicago. James Thomas. Sayles Beedeville Ark. Billy Jo Sayles Camden. Bobby Sayles, Memphis Gene Sayles Somerville: Four sisters, Mrs Carlie Wright Big Sandy. Mrs Clarence Willford, St Louis, MO. Mrs Glen Gaines, Fisk Mo. Mrs Leon Stone, Camden: four brothers Pete and Woodrow Sayles Camden, Thomas Owen and Mordica Wade Sayles St Louis Mo. Several grandchildren.
