Okay, Ladies and Gentlemen (and the rest of you, too)

Here is the complete list of SuperFlex part numbers that we used to overhaul the front end of Marcy's ZB Magnette.  We purchased them as a kit from MG Motorsport.  The part numbers are from their invoice.  A little checking on the SuperFlex web site let me trace the part numbers back to the other applications for the parts.  (All of these links will open in a new browser window, so you can look back and forth.)

A note on the third Column:  The part numbers are for "sets" of bushes to suit the original application, the number needed is the number of "sets" you will need to do a Magnette.

If you want rubber bushes, look up the appropriate parts in one of the common catalogs.  (Then do yourself a favor and order them through Jeff Zorn's Little British Car Company.  You'll save some money, and be supporting a fellow Mageteer's habit.

PLEASE NOTE: I can't guarantee that this kind of double cross-reference will work 100% of the time.  One bushing in polyurethane might be suitable for two different applications, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the original rubber parts will be interchangeable.  With some help from other Magneteers, we may be able to make this a better list.

If you suspect that the kingpin bushings are bad, look again.  I thought ours were, but a conversation with Lou Shorten convinced me to take another look, and it turned out to be the steering rack bushings.  Lou's comment was "I've been restoring Z Magnettes since 1977, and I've never had to replace a set of kingpin bushings."
