     After our bus tour, we stopped by the Eagle and Child pub,
had a nice drink and dinner, and met some of the regulars
who were very friendly. The chap on the left is taking a break
from his more intellectual duties, and the gentleman in the
middle is the pub owner's father. The other guy is a local resident.
The Eagle and Child pub is known for being a hangout
of "The Inklings" drinking and literary club, including
best friends J.R.R Tolkein and C.S. Lewis. Undoubtedly, some ideas for Tolkein's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy
were tossed around right here back in the 'day
