After we left the Cliffs of Moher, we drove to Doolin town and had a nice meal at the pub with lots of Saturday night friendly people. When we left, two pints apiece later, it was getting dark. We found ourselves suddenly at the water's edge. It wasn't even nearly a close call, but Marti got all excited.
