Marti looks happy in this photo because it's a beautiful morning in Granada and we're
walking DOWN the hill to the Plaza Nueva. Going back up the hill to our hostal was not that great. In
the background you can just see the sign for the Hostal Landazuri. Beyond that is the road leading to
the Alhambra. There are minibuses that go up and down the hills all day. I had to get up very
early the next day to take one up to the Alhambra, so I could stand in line with many other tourists
to buy a ticket to visit the Alhambra, Nasrid Palaces and Generalife (It's pronounced "heh-neh-rah-lee-fay")
Gardens. I chatted with a couple from Texas in the line. It was well worth the effort - the Alhambra is one of the
most popular attractions in this part of Europe, but they can only admit about 7000 people each day. Later that
morning, we used one of the hop-on-hop-off tour buses to get up to the Alhambra entrance.
