This 34 year old golf course hosted the 1989 Carolina's Open, the 1992 Golf Writer's Association of America and annually hosts the Carolina's PGA Senior's Championship. The signature hole at Beachwood is the 239-yard, par-3, 18th. There is water in play on seven holes. While this coastal layout with its Bermuda greens and flat terrain is basically a municipal golf course, and is only suited for bargain hunters and beginners.
